I loved The Soprano House. Yes its crazy priced, and their hostess aren’t the prettiest, but their Coyote Dancing girls are extremely fine, if not the finest I’ve seen, and thats comparing against other G-Clubs.

The economical way is to buy a bottle (or if you have the time and money, a membership), arrange to sit down at the bar by yourself without a hostess and try to pickup a Coyote girl while she’s not dancing. The Coyote girls has the full support of Papasan to drink from your bottle without having to buy her separate drinks (according to one of the girls, if she can help you finish the bottle in 1 night, she gets a cut on the bottle).

On my last visit, I had a super cute coyote girl who approached me and ask if she could sit with me while she’s not dancing and we started playing Liar’s dice and loser drinks. Few laughs and drinks later, I have 3 coyote girls playing dice with me for the rest of the night, all at the cost of a bottle of Chivas.

Went to Soprano for the first time (I am a regular Pent member). I did not like the money-grabbing attitude. The girls demand a drink as soon as you just look at them, it is the next thing that comes out of their mouth after they give you the name. I started chatting with a couple of PR girls and they both ask me to buy them drinks. I hesistated for a moment (only because I was just interested in one of them, and was trying to figure out how to do that politely) and they both immediately turn around and leave - without saying another word. Then I got a drink for a coyote girl, but it turned out she was with a regular customer, so as soon as she emptied the glass she ran off. At the end, when I was getting drunk a bit, Mama-san did a real hard sell on the membership. She further “softened me up” by having that coyote girl that I liked come back to grind on my hip, stick her tongue in my ear, etc. at the same time as Mama was giving me the sales pitch. It was so obvious it was actually entertaining. I dont mind spending some $$, I routinely spend 5-10k at the Pent, even as a memeber, but I do not like being treated too explicitly as an ATM machine.

We went in around 11pm and were ushered immediately around the bar through a sea of Japs being looked after by attractive girls to the front of the stage. The band is one of the best I have seen and it was almost worth paying 500 Bht per Heineken to listen to them. We had one round but no-one came near us as we (Aussies)were the only westerners in the place that night.
Left after one round of 3 just as the dancers started to strut their stuff around the bars. We would not be prepared to part with the cash that the Japs had obviously paid for company and went on our journey.
    Great Band though!
No personal girl action, expensive so lower rating than if we had been really made welcome. Will not return.

I think there is some confusion on this pricing policy because I think it can be per drink but anyway hopefully someone will clear it up soon.

Sopranos has hot coyote girls. No doubt. I have never found their hostess girls to be all that.

They have great shows there and tend to put them on regularly.

I know the band is good but I get tired of any band and there tends to be more band time than girls dancing times.

For a Sukhumvit area club this is one of the best ones but I get bored of the large one room format where whatever happens on the stage takes over the place but that is just my personal opinion. Forte makes this same mistake but the Pent with its disco room gets around this.

My last visit was over a year ago but much seems to be the same except perhaps a change to their pricing policy when you want a hostess to sit with you. They’ve made it quite an expensive and inflexible proposition. BBK posted a pretty detailed review at the Blog. See the Related Articles below if you want more details.

Overall, the place is top notch. It is expensive but some of the Coyote girls I saw were amongst the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen. The Hostess girls in their gowns were nothing special.

The live music was amazing as well and I’ve heard rave reviews from others about the music.

They also have private karaoke rooms. I haven’t been in one but they have pics on their website and one of my friends said he got a little action in there once but not sure if that’s a regular occurence.

Service is excellent, almost too good since you always have 3 or 4 people watching your every move.

As far as hostess clubs go this is one of the better one’s but be prepared to spend some serious cash.
