Spicy

nophotoavailable.jpg

One of the most popular After Hours destinations in the city. Gets going around 2:00am. This is a very large freelancer disco spinning mostly hip-hop. Taxi’s get a kickback for bringing people looking for After Hours fun so you will get an mixed crowd most of the time. There is an entrance fee but you get a drink with that. It’s been open over a year now and consistently goes until 6am every night.

Good Place Afterhours, yes the music is sometimes repetitive but its what everyone dances to Hip-Hop/House.

It is packed with wall to wall girls, if you looking it’s easy pickings, the hardest part is who is a freebird vs freelancer… I’ve made this mistake more than once.

Weekends are a zoo, it’s pack to the point you cannot walk in the place, if you go on those days go early, pick up and leave.

If there is a party of 3 or more buy a bottle and you can come back a few times for free.

Times that i’ve gone it goes until 4-5AM.

Weekend nights at this place can be downright horrible. The taxi drivers do their jobs only too well and pack this place full of Kao San Road backpackers, middle age business travelers and the type of guys who don’t seem to realize their body odor is strong enough to kill an elephant.

The music, to be repetitive, is the same old tired hip-hop. But as PMMP said, the girls love it. I’ve had a few decent pulls here, as well as some of my friends. The nice thing about the taxi driver kick-back is that you can often get a free ride from anywhere in the city if you ask the driver politely and have enough bodies in the car to make it worth his while.

I am hot and cold on Spicy but I like it better than Spice. My favorite is the Tunnel but it is notorious for getting shutdown early. Spicy is the king for always being open, staying open late and always full of freelancers. I hate the music though. Hate it and it seems to be getting worse in my opinion. High season seems to bring more of the tourist riff-raff that I can do without. Mostly this is because of the taxis all know to take people to Spicy.

However if u need a consistent late night venue that is guaranteed to be full of girls available for P4P - then Spicy is the best. I am also amazed with how many times I have bumped into non P4P girls who are looking to party.

Spicy has consistenly been staying open until 6am for more than a year now. It could have something to do with the ownership relationship with the Police but that would just be a guess ;). Nonetheless, Spicy is always happening. I avoid Friday’s and Saturday’s though since it gets too crowded and is mostly guys.

The music is tired hip-hop but it’s familiar and the thai girls love it. The freelancer scene is the best here with possibly the exception of Spice Club on soi 11. Girls, working mostly, come to Spicy from all over the city and make for a pretty diverse experience.

Service is excellent here. My only complaints are cigarettes 200 baht each, fat farang girls dancing on the podiums, farang guys dancing on the podiums, bartenders “mistakenly” give you a double-shot charging you accordingly when you just ordered a single one, and the weekend crowd. Otherwise, it’s a regular destination for After Hours romps.
